Anika Noni is a vocalist and actor from the United States. Her most well-known role is her role as Tiana in The Princess and the Frog. Tiana was Disney's very first African-American Princess. She was named an official Disney Legend in 2011. Rose played Lorrell Robinson in the Oscar-winning film Dreamgirls. Anika Rose was born on the 6th of September, 1972. The actress is American actress and a singer. She is best known for the role of Tiana as Tiana in The Princess and the Frog The original African American Disney Princess. In 2011, she was named as an official Disney Legend. Her other starring performance, in the role of Lorrell Robinson, in Dreamgirls (2006) which was nominated for an Academy Award. And she performs the role of LaVerne Jukebox Ganner on Starz's series Power. Alongside her acting, she is known for the roles she performed in theater. They include Emmie Thibodeaux in the Broadway version of Caroline or Change (2005) in which she was awarded the Tony Award Best Features Actress in A Musical award was given as well as Beneatha as part of the Broadway revival of A Raisin in the Sun (2017) for which she received the Tony Award Best Features Actress in Play nominations were announced.
